The reception and accommodation centre “Cevenol Unionist Village” was built in 1986 by the Christian Youth Union (French branch of the YMCA). The initial idea being the hosting of youth and holiday camps.
In response to current demand, the centre has been modernized, fully equipped and has become the « Ethic Étapes Val de l’Hort ». It can now accommodate children, adolescents and adults, with or without disabilities for trips ranging from several days to several weeks. These groups can discover adapted and certified secure premises as well as receiving help with the elaboration of their projects. The centre is run by a local association, with a non religious management which allows it to develop a very unique ethic of sharing, contact with others and tolerance. This social dimension is reinforced by the hiring and training of staff from people in social difficulty. In order to promote a real mix of society, the Val de Hort association wishes to widen the range of access to the centre to a larger public by offering fair prices and a variety of services.
The Val de l’Hort is a member of Ethic Étapes, an associative network which groups more than forty international accommodation centres around common values. By the Ethic Etapes Charter of Quality, we pledge ourselves to guarantee you the following :
